On February 2, 1943 the Red Army pushed the Nazis back to the besieged city of Stalingrad. That battle was the largest and decisive in WW2. After this event a counteroffensive started making the definitive defeat of Nazi Germany. I think that the whole Europe owes a lot to the proud Russian people.
